There is a word mentioned often about the environment. That word is GREEN. The current meaning of that term refers to how you live your life and how your impact affects this earth.

Buildings, roads, parks (or lack thereof) can all have a profound impact on our natural environment, economy, health, and productivity. The environment impacts a person's mental and physical well-being.

Head Start of Yamhill County agrees with that "green" philosophy. So much so, that in designing new buildings, every measure is taken to ensure the impact on your children is non-invasive and as healthy as possible.

Consequently, each center has improved air quality, reduced thermal requirements while conserving natural resources, plenty of sunshine, and room to explore.  Comfort and health are the focus for the students in Head Start's learning "green" environment.
