Parent are pivotal in the lives on their children. A parent is the child's first teacher. The Head Start staff celebrates this fact and wants to build on the strengths of each family.
	What are my rights as a Parent?	When I visit the classroom?
All parents are encouraged and welcomed to participate in any activity. Please remember we have an open-door policy that allows you to visit your child at any time throughout the day. We encourage volunteer positions and often have open jobs.
Our Head Start Program needs parents to work in classrooms to help facilitate a variety of experiences with the children. Parents are welcome to help with field trips.
We highly encourage the sharing of family traditions and cultures. Please feel free to contact the teacher with your ideas so a time can be scheduled for you to share. Attending Parent Meetings provides an opportunity to share ideas and make friends.
Please watch for information about special events and information being sent home with your child's daily work. Look for the Head Start Newsletter with pictures of your children and current information. Here are some resources that might be helpful.
